Veggie Fries Recalled in 15 States for Undeclared Allergen
On April 1, Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods Inc. voluntarily recalled over 8,600 cases of its California Veggie Fries for not disclosing that it contained soy on its packaging. Soy is one of the nine most common food allergens in the United States. Consuming this item could lead to severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis.
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) classified it as a Class II recall on April 7, meaning the likelihood of experiencing adverse health effects is low.
