Philadelphia Just Released a New Product, and I’m Obsessed

It’s been nearly 100 years since famous barman Harry Craddock published his martini recipe in The Savoy Cocktail Book. This drink’s popularity has waxed and waned with the whims of the cocktail-imbibing public, but it’s safe to say that we are now living in a peak martini era.

The cocktail graced the cover of the June/July 2025 issue of Bon Appétit, and TikTok and Instagram spill over with recipes for every conceivable riff on a martini. Even the martini’s offspring, the Vesper and the Gibson, are seeing a surge in popularity.

Now, the good folks at Philadelphia Cream Cheese are entering the martini chat. Philadelphia teamed up with olive producer Divina to create “Philly-tini Olives,” a cream-cheese-stuffed olive perfect for elevating your dirty martini.

Why Is Philadelphia Making Stuffed Olives?

The new martini olives skip the usual blue cheese filling, replacing it with smooth, creamy Philly Cream Cheese. In a press release, Philadelphia and Divina claim that blue cheese has enjoyed a stuffed olive supremacy for the past 50 years, even though it’s “one of the most polarizing foods in America.”

What about all those dirty martini lovers who have no interest in blue cheese? Enter the Philly-tini Olive.

Kelli Srivastava, senior brand manager for Philadelphia Cream Cheese, said in the release, “Philly-tini Olives are here to shake up dirty martinis this summer, giving a new and unexpected creamy twist to a classic happy hour combo.”

In addition to loading up my martini, I’m excited to use the cream cheese-stuffed olives as a briny counterpoint on charcuterie boards and as a secret umami bomb in pasta salads. If I manage to sneak some away from the bar cart, I might even chop them up to make a quick topping for bread rounds—a dirty martini crostini, if you will. 

There’s a certain James Bond cool about committing a specific martini order to memory so you order with ease at a swanky bar. I like a dirty gin martini (Boodles if you have it, Bombay if you don’t) with three stuffed olives. I can only hope my local bar will start carrying the Philly-tini olives.
