I don’t know about you, but as a kid, I absolutely loved pickles. In fact, my preference for pickles, especially spears, often meant my family had to keep their eyes glued to their plates in order to avoid me slyly sneaking theirs.
My love for those tangy, salty, crunchy cucumbers never faded; in fact, it only intensified. I’ll still go for the classics—dill, bread and butter, spicy, or sweet—but I’ve also expanded my indulgence outside of pickles in their traditional form and into the plethora of pickle-flavored offerings available today.
Which is why, when I saw that Goldfish was re-releasing its Spicy Dill Pickle crackers (which went viral on TikTok this time last year and promptly sold out), I impatiently waited to snag a bag at my local grocery store. I mean, a combination of two of my favorite snacks with a spicy twist… what could be better than that?
Goldfish Spicy Dill Pickle Crackers
- What Are They: A dill pickle-flavored snack with a kick that sold out last summer after it went viral on Tiktok.
- Why I Love Them: They’re briny, salty, herby, and spicy—and extra crunchy!

My Verdict on Goldfish’s Spicy Dill Pickle Crackers
If I had to choose a single word to describe Goldfish’s limited-edition Spicy Dill Pickle crackers, I’d go with “addictive.” Why? Well, because you may start out by tossing a few of these bad boys into your mouth and then, in an almost trance-like fashion, you’ll find you’ve eaten half the bag in a single sitting.
I attribute the “addictive” quality of these crisp spicy-sweet morsels to both their texture and taste. A classic Goldfish is quite crunchy, but this flavor is even crunchier. They have an almost hollow center, which adds to their crispness without feeling unsubstantial. Plus, the spicy pickle flavorings are on the surface of the crackers for even more bite.
Now, you might think that that surface layer of flavor would make the center of these crisps bland, but somehow they’re not (Goldfish, you’ve defied the physics of flavor here). With each bite, there’s an indisputable burst of briny, salty, herby, and spicy notes. (The mid-level heat comes at the end—after I’ve eaten a few, it builds up and hits the back of the throat. As someone who enjoys hot sauce and red pepper flakes, I didn’t find it overwhelming whatsoever.)
If you’re typically spice-averse, I’d still encourage you to give these fun swimmers a shot—chances are you’ll find them super snackable. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go load up on some bags before they sell out again and I’m in a pickle.
