Aldi Has a $12.99 of a $90 Williams Sonoma Copycat—I Use It Everyday

A few months back, my husband and I decided to toss our plastic cutting boards. Since then, I’ve been keeping my eye out for wood and bamboo cutting boards. No surprise, I found my dream purchase at my favorite store: Aldi.

Aldi Crofton Master Cutting Board

  • Price: $12.99
  • Why I Love It: This sturdy bamboo cutting board comes with four handy inserts that make prepping and chopping tidy.

Why I Love Aldi’s Crofton Master Cutting Board

It’s a gorgeous, good-sized bamboo cutting board that costs only $12.99. Its cutting surface is 12×11 inches and has four inlaid, inset trays that expand its length to 16 inches.

What I love about the removable, stackable trays is how helpful they are for prep work. I can chop up some onions, slide them into a tray, then cut up carrots and slide them into a second tray, and still have one more to hold celery when making pasta bolognese

But perhaps the coolest insert is the grating one. You can flip it over to shred veggies, cheese, or chocolate without reaching for a box grater. If you don’t need to grate anything, you can still use it as an extra prep tray.

One of the things I’ve found annoying with other cutting boards is that after you dice something up, you have to lift the cutting board, slide a plate or a bowl underneath, and sweep your choppings into the dish. I can never do that without a couple of diced onions or sliced carrots ending up on my kitchen floor.

The trays that come with my new Crofton cutting board solve this cooking (and cleaning) conundrum. That’s a win for mise en place!

If this cutting board setup looks familiar, that’s because it’s similar to the $90 Cup Board Pro Cutting Board at Williams Sonoma. The Crofton board costs a fraction of that. It also comes with four inserts compared to one insert for the more expensive option.

I love the versatility of my Aldi cutting board, as well as its sturdiness and shape. I can easily store my other cutting boards beneath it, and stored is where they’ll stay because this one has quickly become my go-to.

How Long Is This Cutting Board at Aldi?

I’m not the only fan of this Williams Sonoma dupe. Aldi debuted its Crofton Master Cutting Board on June 6, 2025, and it immediately went viral. Check the housewares aisle at your local ALDI, but note that this one may be hard to find.

While you’re there, keep an eye out for the Crate & Barrel-inspired utensils we’re equally obsessed with!
