How To Submit for Simply Recipes: The 2025 Freezies

We’re now accepting submissions for Simply Recipes The 2026 Freezies Awards, where we feature the best new frozen food products available at national supermarkets. The winners will be revealed on our website in March 2026.

OVERVIEW:

To determine the best new frozen foods of the year, products will be tested by Simply Recipes’ editorial staff and a panel of food experts and home cooks. We are only accepting submissions for products found inside the freezers of major US-based supermarket chains. Products can range from frozen complete meals and mains to frozen treats and snacks to frozen sides and meal accompaniments. 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. The product must have launched or be new to major supermarket freezers between January 2025 and December 2025, and remain in stock at least through April 2026. If the product is launched between October and December 2025 and is selected for consideration, we will reach out to you to discuss how to include it in our tastings.
2. The product must be available in AT LEAST ONE US-based national supermarket chain like Albertsons, Kroger, Food Lion/Giant, Wegmans, Walmart, Target, Publix, Costco, Whole Foods, ALDI, Safeway, etc.
3. Products only sold online through Amazon, Fresh Direct, Thrive, or other online groceries are not eligible at this time.
4. You must be willing and able to have the product delivered to us via Instacart or a similar service, send free product coupons, or ship the product to us first for testing and again (if the product is selected as a winner) for photography. 

HOW TO SUBMIT:

We are accepting submissions until Friday, October 10, 2025. Please fill out this PRODUCT SUBMISSION FORM for each product you would like us to consider for tasting. 

If the product is selected for tasting, we will contact you after Friday, October 10, 2025, with instructions on where to send the product samples. 

If the product is selected as a winner, we will contact you after December 19, 2025, with instructions on where to send the product for photography.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PERISHABLE SAMPLES UNTIL THEY ARE REQUESTED.
