Kerrygold Just Released a Brand-New Butter, and I’m Already Obsessed

When I need a pick-me-up, I pull out the toaster. I spent a lot of time at my grandma Mildred’s house as a kid, and I will never forget her making cinnamon toast for my afternoon snack. Even now, cinnamon toast is my most nostalgic comfort food.

When I saw that Kerrygold now makes Cinnamon & Sugar Butter, with cinnamon and brown sugar already in the butter, I couldn’t resist picking up a stick. It was so worth the splurge—here’s what I thought about this brand-new butter.

Why I Love Kerrygold Cinnamon & Sugar Butter

Like other bakers, I know Kerrygold is the best butter. It’s so creamy! The cinnamon sugar butter is somehow even better. The butter itself is excellent, and it’s a shortcut that saves me from having to make compound butter or measure cinnamon and sugar.

I’m a cinnamon toast Goldilocks, and I found the cinnamon-to-sugar ratio in this butter just right. It’s not too sweet and not too spicy, but still full of flavor.

It also remains slightly soft even when chilled, making it spreadable right out of the fridge, which is very convenient. It means I don’t have to put a stick on the counter 30 minutes before I want to make toast.

While regular Kerrygold comes in a cream cheese-sized block, the cinnamon sugar butter comes in stick form. It’s nearly $3 for one stick, which is expensive, but worth the cost if you want cinnamon toast without the hassle of making flavored butter yourself.

How To Use Kerrygold Cinnamon & Sugar Butter

I put this butter on my toast, of course, and I am excited to use it in baked goods. It would be delicious in oatmeal raisin cookies that are already cinnamon-y and brown sugary.

I also want to try it in homemade drop biscuits. I love the idea of a cinnamon sugar biscuit topped with cinnamon sugar butter. That sounds like the perfect way to start a weekend, especially with sweater weather on the horizon.
