My Favorite Limited Tillamook Flavor Is Back To Stay—I’m So Excited

I’ve tried practically every flavor of Tillamook ice cream, but Orange and Cream has been one of my favorites ever since it was released a couple of years ago. Tillamook just announced that the previously seasonal flavor is now available all year long. I no longer need to stockpile my freezer in the summertime and I can enjoy it at any time I want. That’s great news!

Tillamook Orange and Cream Ice Cream

  • Price: $5.99 for one and half quarts (prices my vary nationally)
  • Why I Love It: I love it for its creamy texture, bright citrus flavor, and the way it instantly takes me back to childhood summers.

Why I Love Tillamook Orange and Cream Ice Cream

Every nostalgic bite reminds me of the messy Creamsicles I loved eating as a kid. While little 80s me might disagree, I think Tillamook’s version is actually better; it has a smoother texture and a much more natural-tasting flavor.

Each container is split vertically down the middle—half features the creamery’s popular old-fashioned vanilla ice cream, and the other half is infused with real orange juice concentrate and orange oil. It’s delicious, and I wouldn’t change a thing—except maybe making it swirled for more even flavor distribution.

It tastes incredible all on its own (yes, I eat big spoonfuls right out of the container), but when I want an extra special treat, I top it with a handful of toasted sliced almond or a drizzle of hot fudge. And I’m already planning to try it with Trader Joe’s new Hard Top Chocolate Shell Topping for even more old-school feels.

My Other Favorite Tillamook Ice Cream Flavors

Because ice cream is my go-to summer dessert, I keep a few runner-ups on hand to satisfy my cravings. Other flavors I love include the new Salty Caramel Pretzel (which gives major county fair vibes), Oregon Strawberry (I can’t resist those sweet strawberry chunks), and Campfire Peanut Butter Cup, which is also now available year-round.

I’d happily eat any of Tillamook’s ice cream—no matter the time of year—so I’m also already digging into some of their fall flavors, like the limited edition Apple Crisp that combines vanilla ice cream with a generous amount of baked oatmeal streusel and crisp apple pieces, plus Butter Pecan that I’d take over pecan pie any day.

And I must give a shout-out to the Marionberry Pie flavor that I recently tasted while visiting the Oregon coast. According to the ice cream shop’s owner, it’s made with marionberries sourced from the nearby Willamette Valley and is popular among the locals. The buttery pie crust pieces are what sealed the deal for me, making it yet another flavor that I’ve added to my list.

Tillamook’s Orange and Cream has earned a permanent place in my heart, so I’m overjoyed it’s been added to the permanent flavor roster.
