Oreo Is Releasing a Limited-Edition Flavor—and It’s the Best One Yet

I remember the first time I ever ate an Oreo. It was in the mid-’90s, and I was backstage at a dance recital. One of the girls in my class opened her backpack to reveal a package of Oreos, and we descended on them like dinosaurs. (Yes, Jurassic Park had just come out.)

Nothing has changed for me over the last 30 years. I still love Oreos and will happily demolish a package of Double Stufs. The best thing about this treat is that Oreo keeps inventing new flavors for fans to enjoy. Golden Oreos, Peanut Butter Oreos, Selena Gomez Oreos—the list goes on.

Some of the flavors feel like a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it situation. So when I heard that Oreo wanted to bring back one of the best flavors to ever exist, I literally marked the date on my calendar.

What Is the Next Oreo Flavor?

That wondrous flavor, friends, is the iconic Blueberry Pie Oreo. These have a golden yellow graham cracker-flavored cookie with blueberry pie creme. It’s glorious, and it’s a flavor that fans have asked the brand to bring back for years.

The flavor originally debuted in 2016 as a limited edition summer flavor. It reappeared in 2017 and then vanished from shelves. It’s been almost a decade since fans could enjoy this particular Oreo, and they haven’t stopped asking for a comeback.

When Can You Buy the Blueberry Pie Oreos?

If you want to snag a package before everyone else, sign up for presale on the Oreo website. Presale sign-ups start June 26 and run through June 29. The presale cookies will be available starting on June 30 while supplies last.

If you’re a more casual Oreo enjoyer, don’t fret. You can still buy the cookies when they roll out at retailers nationwide on July 7, 2025. It’s a truly limited edition release, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
