From an early age, I loved Pepsi to the point of obsession. I knew my way around the cooler of “kid drinks” at any family party, and I would dig through melted ice and Sprite until I found that bright blue can.
I still have a soft spot for Pepsi, but I’m the first to try any new soda. I feel lucky to be alive during this modern soda renaissance!
Prebiotic sodas like Olipop and Poppi have exploded in popularity, so it was only a matter of time before legacy brands entered the game. Pepsi will be the first cola brand to launch a prebiotic version of its flagship soda. It’s called Pepsi Prebiotic Cola.
Pepsi Prebiotic Cola
- The Product: This soda tastes like Pepsi but has 3g of prebiotic fiber—and it’s made with real cane sugar.
- Availability: Pepsi Prebiotic Cola will launch online this fall and appear in stores by early 2026.
Why I Can’t Wait To Try Pepsi Prebiotic Cola
The efficacy of prebiotic soda as a gut health aid has mixed clinical reviews, but the Cleveland Clinic has slotted it into the “not a health food but not harmful” category. In other words: Keep eating fiber-rich foods and enjoy prebiotic soda as a treat. Sounds good to me!
On social media, fans have begged for a prebiotic soda from cola icons Coke and Pepsi. Coca-Cola launched its Simply Pop line earlier this year, but that soda is all fruit-flavored. Pepsi, on the other hand, is charging full speed ahead with a prebiotic cola and may soon retake the lead in the great ongoing Coke vs. Pepsi war.
This is great news for me, because I have always preferred regular Pepsi and Diet Coke. There are dozens of us!

When and Where To Find Pepsi Prebiotic Cola
Pepsi Prebiotic Cola will be available in two flavors: Original and Cherry Vanilla. They will launch online later this year and hit grocery store shelves in early 2026.
No word yet on how the taste of prebiotic Pepsi compares to the original recipe, but I want to try both flavors the second they’re ready. Pepsi, you know where to find me!
