This $1.25 Dollar Tree Find I Use At Least Once a Week

Our house runs on taco night. At least once a week, you can bet your bottom dollar we’re piling corn or flour tortillas with all the fixings.

For years, my tried-and-true method for keeping those tortillas warm and pliable was the classic, somewhat makeshift, clean dish towel. It did the trick, but it was far from perfect. The tortillas would inevitably cool down quicker than I’d like, and sometimes, they’d even get a little stiff around the edges, making them prone to cracking.

I know how disappointing a cold, brittle tortilla can be when trying to make the perfect taco. So, when I spotted a solution at Dollar Tree for $1.25, I thought, “Why not?” It was the best impulse purchase I’ve made in a long time. It’s changed our taco nights for the better, and I use it weekly, if not more often.

If you’re a fan of that smoky char a griddle or open flame brings, the tortillas can be transferred to the warmer instead of being heated in the microwave. I’ve also used mine to keep pitas, naan, roti, and other flatbreads toasty.

The price is genuinely unbeatable. At $1.25, it’s a steal compared to similar warmers that can run ten times more at other discount retailers. The Dollar Tree’s version is the most budget-friendly option I’ve seen, and it also delivers big on functionality.

Beyond the price, its core purpose is what makes it such a must-have. It keeps tortillas wonderfully warm and soft, thanks to an inner lining of insulation. (The tortillas in my home never last more than 30 minutes, so I can’t say whether they live up to the 1-hour mark.) It’s supposed to hold up to 12 tortillas, but depending on the brand, it can hold as many as 15.
