Along with useful tools like ice trays and silicone baking mats, ALDI often has beautiful home decor that rivals popular products from homeware stores like Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn. A recent find of a Crofton Acacia Wood Bowl is just that!
The copycat looks and feels similar to Williams-Sonoma’s Acacia Tall Salad Bowl, but for a quarter of the price. No really—ALDI’s version of this Acacia bowl is just $19.99, compared to Williams-Sonoma’s $99 price tag.
Since it fit my budget perfectly, I wanted to see how well ALDI’s Crofton Acacia Wood Bowl would work as both a serving bowl for big summer salads and a centerpiece for decor when we host friends for dinner. Here’s why you need to run out and grab your own before they sell out for the season!
ALDI Crofton Acacia Wood Centerpiece Bowl
- Price: $19.99 for a 1 bowl
- Why I Love It: ALDI’s acacia bowl is a fraction of the price of brand-name counterparts, but just as sturdy and versatile. I’ve used it as a giant salad bowl, for storing fruit, and so much more.

Why I Love ALDI’s Crofton Acacia Wood Centerpiece Bowl
A great wooden bowl is a home cook’s best friend. It can be used to store and display fruit on your kitchen counter, as a serving bowl for salad or snacks, or as a seasonal display piece in the kitchen or dining room filled with anything from holiday baubles to spring bulbs. That might be why every retailer from West Elm to ALDI sells a version.
ALDI’s Crofton Acacia Wood Bowl fits all the specifications of a timeless wood bowl. At 13 inches, it has a wide opening diameter, but it isn’t too tall for seeing what’s inside. The base of the bowl has a shallow foot and a nice curve, so you can still see underneath it slightly. Because it is made from pieces of acacia wood rather than turned from a single piece of wood, each bowl from ALDI is a bit different—some have more grain, more light or dark pieces, giving it a unique character unlike every other wood bowl.
How to Care for Your ALDI Acacia Bowl
Acacia is beloved for its hardiness and is used in everything from cutting boards to furniture. Like other wood bowls, ALDI’s Crofton Acacia Wood Bowl should be hand-washed, never fully submerged in water, and dried immediately after washing. This kind of care will keep your bowl from potential splintering or cracking, making it a long-lasting kitchen staple. Anytime your wooden bowl looks dry, give it a rub down with a food-safe mineral oil after washing and drying.
This is the second year that ALDI has carried the acacia bowl, and like many of the items in its “Aisle of Shame,” it’s only here for a limited time, so hurry!
